US Electronics Opposes Merger

US Electronics, the distributors for the XAct satellite radios for Sirius, has notified the FCC that it opposes the merger.

US Electronics has a $48 million lawsuit against Sirius alleging that Sirius interfered with its customers.

Do they fear that they would lose business if there is a merger, or do they just want to play the spoiler? Ostensibly, they intervening on behalf of the consumer.

It has been said that US Electronics is also the parent company of AGT, who makes a couple of satellite radios for XM. This information has not been verified.
