Following up on the first European Summit on Mobile Satellite Radio held on September 21, 2006, Broadband TV News published a short article about the summit. There are now 3 companies looking to launch satellite radio services in Europe: Europa Max (formed following the collapse of Global Radio), WorldSpace, and Ondas. Video appeared to be a hot topic of the summit, with disagreement over the viability. Telematics is also expected to be a big part of the satellite radio services there.
